What is the Purpose?

SARS-CoV-2 is now a well described RNA Coronavirus and WHO has recommended some RNA targets and RT-PCR method to detect the virus RNA in human samples (nasopharyngeal swabs) and on surfaces in human environment (surface swabs). Even if surface testing is a complement to preventive measures (disinfection program, social distance, employees’ protection, etc.) and to environmental monitoring plan, it remains useful as part of the risk assessment to ensure employees’ safety.

How It Works?

1. Swab

Swab high-touch hard surfaces such as door handles, keyboards, phones, armrests, and tables.

2. Extract

Place swab into RNA extraction solution, which inactivates virus and stabilizes viral RNA for transport.

3. Test

Prepare sample using test kit and place into qPCR instrument.

4. Get Results

Get clear results, maximum 2 days after Swab.
